Once upon a time, when Decorative Art was experiencing tremendous growth in the mid 70's, Susan began her painting journey.  The setting was in a neighbor's home with 6 other ladies sitting around the kitchen table.  They met once a week- cost per lesson: $2.00!

In 1996 she earned the distinguished title of Master Decorative Artist after successfully completing and passing the 3 required designs.

Susan is an internationally renowned and recognized teacher, artist, designer, and publisher.  Her most recent honor is being selected by David Jansen, MDA, as a member of the Heritage Artist Team, who in a collaborative effort developed, designed, and wrote the long awaited Traditions International Teaching Program.
